An eighth U.S. service member has died in the war with Iran, New York officials announced.
New York Police Department officer Sorffly Davius died in a “non-combat related incident” while he was deployed to Kuwait with the National Guard. He served in the 42nd Infantry Division in the Army National Guard, eventually reaching the rank of major, the NYPD said in a statement.
